Wow, I can’t believe I am still trying to catch up on blogging September sessions!  Here was a great and very memorable one because this little guy was just so sweet, mellow and a great model…just look at that perfect scale posture!

I tell my new parents to try and get into the studio before or around two weeks because newborns are typically still sleepy and very pliable at this stage and it makes for some super cute images.  After two to three weeks they start to become more aware of their bodies and what they do and do not like, positions, temperature, etc….little stinkers!

We got so many fun shots of this little man, thanks so much for sharing him with me Tami & Jeffrey!  I hope the holidays with your new little guy were fantastic!

Wow, Belly to Baby before I could even blink, one of my favorite session combinations!!  I feel like it was yesterday when Brian and Heather came in for their maternity session.  Before I knew it they went from this:

They named their daughter Rilyn, which I of course loved because our son is named Jace Rylin.  Rylin was a combo of our middle names Ryan and Lyn - wish I had thought of it for a girl’s name…super cute!  Here are a couple of other favs from our session, I will post the announcement soon, it is in the works now!  Congrats Heather & Brian, you are adorable and sweet people and if its possible, you are even sweeter parents, Rilyn is very lucky!!

Jamie and Jon got married a few years back.  They had a magnificant wedding at the Villa Del Sol D’Oro in Sierra Madre and came back to see me last weekend to introduce me to Alex Taylor! We had a great time reminiscing about their wedding and oohhing and ahhhing over the newest addition to the family…she was really sweet and so cute! I have included a couple of my favorites from the session here.

Now I know everyone has seen the head in the hands shot but I thought this was especially profound since Firefighter & Paramadic Daddy helped bring Alex into the world with his own two hands… so amazing!  I love hearing the birth stories from my new parents and this one was especially breath-taking!  The Dr. let Jon deliver the baby, obviously with some guidance and a watchful eye, but isn’t that just awesome?  Way to go guys, she is going to love that story one day!

Congratulations on your new little one, she is gorgeous and before you know it will be up and running with her stunning big sister Morgan!  Don’t cha just love sisters!

There is nothing like going into a client’s home and seeing your photography displayed like this! WOW! The care and love that went into planning, framing and hanging these images is amazing, and this isn’t even all of them! Thank you so much guys, your home is beautiful and the prints look amazing - this project was such a fantastic and fun collaboration!

9 day old little Layla came by this afternoon for her first photo shoot, it was amazing!  Lauren and Jerry were kind enough to share her with me for a few hours and let me try out new backgrounds and some fun poses.  She had the most amazing skin tone and most adorable little girly face, I loved it!  Thanks so much guys!

Most parents dream of those 10 perfect little fingers and 10 perfect little toes.  Little did Amy and Matthew know, they signed up for 30 when they got pregnant…with triplets!  I had an amazing morning with the Licht family and their new arrivals Carter, Sam, and Jake!  It was a whirlwind of feeding, spitting up, soothing, bouncing, and being amazed at how calm and collected they were with their three little men!  My hat is definitely off to the two of you, I am truly amazed at how you are handling being new parents to triplets…WOW is an understatement, you guys are incredible!  Here is a sneak peek!  I can’t wait to have you all back and to see how they grow over the years!

Sunday I was lucky enough to spend some time with Mirabelle and her new parents!  I photographed her Mommy’s baby shower last month in Laguna, which was fantastic so I was really looking forward to meeting her!  We got to play with lots of props and poses, she was a fantastic subject, easy to calm down and super little - just the way I like them! Sorry I am still a bit slow with the blog right now, having family in town definitely slows me down but by next week I should be at it again.  I have a few fun projects coming up that I want to share, March is going to be a fun month!

Isn’t that the greatest name!  My good friends Tom and Dawn gave birth to their son back in November and named him a fantastic unique Irish name, I LOVE it!  I got to photograph the little man at just 10 days old, he was precious.  Here is the announcement we put together for him from the session! Congratulations guys!

Welcome little Andie!  It was so wonderful to welcome back the Lujans after the birth of #2, now Katie has a little sister - Andie.  I LOVE that name…so cute!  She was wonderful and so cooperative and I got to try out some of the new props I have been compiling lately!  I thought since Andie was a fall October baby I would try her out in my new fall basket and blanket with the super warm woods! We also had to put Andie in Dad’s Fire Fighting Helmet! So fun, she actually was pretty content in there, it was cute!

I hadn’t seen Katie since she was a newborn and she was so adorable but was being a typical toddler and didn’t want to kiss her new baby sister so I suggested we take one of the M&Ms Mom and Dad were using to bribe her and put one on the baby’s head.  Looks like genuine and authentic sister love doesn’t it?  Fun trick!  Here are some of my favorites from this afternoon!

It has been busy, busy, busy so I will be brief!  I got to photograph the Icardos last Friady and see Hudson and Miss Channing in all her naked glory - I couldn’t resist putting this one up - she is sooooo cute!!!  I won’t put anymore otherwise I might spoil their Christmas card!  I’ll put it up when it’s done!
