I am so lucky!! That’s what I kept thinking Monday afternoon!  I was in Dallas visiting family and got the opportunity to do an engagement session in Historic Carrollton for an amazing couple, Don and Emily.  Don is a great friend and talented photographer himself, based in the Dallas area so it was great to talk shop as we went along! I got there early and was able to scout out some interesting areas just outside of Downtown, I had fun getting lost and doing a little off-roading! I found this great colored siding, railroad bridge, and field which was right next to a gun range we found out half way through the session when the gunfire started…only in TEXAS!! Heehee! I can’t wait for Don and Emily’s Santa Barbara wedding this summer, I’m sure you can see why!!  Amazing couple, gorgeous, and couldn’t be nicer!  Thanks for spending the afternoon with me guys!!

I had a great engagement session with Perlette and Jake today.  They are getting married at the incredible Court of Appeals building in Pasadena this April.  It is that really amazing building that you see on the other side of the Colorado Street Bridge when you are coming into Pasadena on the 134.  I am really excited to photograph their wedding because it isn’t a site where weddings are usually allowed to take place, but Perlette is an appellate lawyer and got permission – yeah!!

Back to today! I traveled down to the coast to their neck of the woods and got to do some exploring.  We stumbled upon some great spots by accident in Torrance and then made our way to the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes.  There is quite a large grassy area in the middle of the course that is public recreation grounds and the cliff and beach area below are beautiful.

We had a fantastic time.  Thanks so much guys, can’t wait for the big day!

I have been wanting to shoot at Union Station for quite some time now and I finally got my chance with Theoni & Pete!  We braved the rain on Saturday and headed for some really great locations – Union Station, The Raymond Restaurant, and Mission Park.  We had a blast and got tons of great shots.  They are an amazing couple with such a great connection – I LOVE that!  Here are just few of my favs from Union Station, what a cool place to shoot, so many backdrops!

I had a wonderful evening last night with Erin & Larry.  We did a really fun and cool urban engagement session in Downtown LA.  As you can see we visited the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which has this whole upper level I never knew about and is considered a state park so there are no issues photographing there, which was awesome.  I was asked not to stand up on a wall I scaled though, what can I say, we photographers do crazy things sometimes to get a great angle!  We also got kicked off the steps at Bunker Hill, apparently they not only own the building and stairs but also the sidewalk, which I thought was so crazy!!  Who ever heard of owning the sidewalk…isn’t that so weird!!!  Anyway, we found plenty of cool places to shoot and had a blast – thanks guys for staying out late on a Sunday night!  I can’t wait till the wedding in a couple of months!
