I know, I know I will never really give Martha Stewart a run for her money, but I can try right?  Our little man just had his 2nd birthday and we threw a little something together for him at the last minute.  I got a little ridiculous and made everything instead of just buying prepared but it was fun!  Here’s my first attempt at a decorated three tiered cake!  We all got a giggle because instead of eating it with his hands Jace bent down to the cake with his mouth and tried all three layers – he looked like he was bobbing for M&Ms!  Here’s a couple of  detail pics, party pics to come!

There is nothing like going into a client’s home and seeing your photography displayed like this! WOW! The care and love that went into planning, framing and hanging these images is amazing, and this isn’t even all of them! Thank you so much guys, your home is beautiful and the prints look amazing – this project was such a fantastic and fun collaboration!

This past Saturday we were lucky to be invited to the one and only Carnival in town honoring Hudson and Channing’s birthdays!  Kori and Don put on the most amazing party complete with: a magic show, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, candy, cupcakes, food, home-made amzing carnival booths and prizes, a jumper, the most amazing decorations and a wonderful crowd of people!  We had the most amazing time, thank you so much for having us!  Here is a small peek at a gigantic day!

Remember the days when rain was this fascinating!  I must admit I still like it…maybe I should move to Seattle.  I’m the kind of person who doesn’t mind when a car rounds the corner and splashes me with with a gallon of water or when I have to dash out and come in looking like a wet mop! I still remember playing soccer in high school during major rain storms and just swimming in water and mud – it was the best!  Anyway…hope everyone is enjoying the fabulously rainy day, I know Jace is!!

This card was custom made for the Icardos and it was really fun.  They came in with tons of ideas and enthusiasm and it paid off, we made a square tri-fold card for them with a handful of the fantastic shots we got from their session.  I have been collecting backgrounds and embellishments for cards and announcements over the years and thought these images were perfect for these funky and fun Christmas patterns.  The card was press printed on watercolor card stock by WHCC – I LOVE their card stock and print quality.

Welcome little Andie!  It was so wonderful to welcome back the Lujans after the birth of #2, now Katie has a little sister – Andie.  I LOVE that name…so cute!  She was wonderful and so cooperative and I got to try out some of the new props I have been compiling lately!  I thought since Andie was a fall October baby I would try her out in my new fall basket and blanket with the super warm woods! We also had to put Andie in Dad’s Fire Fighting Helmet! So fun, she actually was pretty content in there, it was cute!

I hadn’t seen Katie since she was a newborn and she was so adorable but was being a typical toddler and didn’t want to kiss her new baby sister so I suggested we take one of the M&Ms Mom and Dad were using to bribe her and put one on the baby’s head.  Looks like genuine and authentic sister love doesn’t it?  Fun trick!  Here are some of my favorites from this afternoon!

I met Tiana and Jason about a year ago when they were pregnant with little Wyatt and today I finally got to meet him…yeah!  He was so cute, with this precious little giggle and the best smile.  He is on the verge of walking and it was really fun to see him trying to work out how to stay on his feet!  Thank you so much for coming in guys, here are some of my favorites from today!

I usually try not to shoot early in the morning the day after a wedding, but I just couldn’t resist these kids, so I woke up early Sunday morning and got to the house at 8:00 to start this adorable session. I’m so glad I didn’t miss this one.  The de Guzmans are an amazing family, I could have spent the whole day there.  Thank you so much for inviting me into your home and letting me goof around with the kids for a couple of hours – I had a blast!

Look out little three year old ladies…here comes Owen! I just love getting this little man in front of the camera, he is just wonderful! Amy, Owen, and I trecked around Old Town Monrovia this morning getting some fun urban shots of this little dude, it was fantastic. Thank you so much for coming up from Long Beach guys, I had a great time! There were about a hundred shots that I loved but I had to control myself, so here are just a few of my favs!
