Just a few shots from the 3rd annual Pumpkin Carving at Tom & Dawn’s to get you in the mood for today - Halloween!! Yeah!! You just can’t have a carving without caramel apples, I made these for the gathering! Anyone have any other fun and creative caramel apple ideas for next year?
Events like these serve as great markers in time for me and are a fun way to reflect back: the first annual carving I was pregnant, the second Jace was a 6 month old blob rolling around on a blanket, and this year he is 18 months - walking up and down stairs, talking, throwing, playing, and he surprised us all by counting to 10 on his own. I know he isn’t creating mathematical formulas yet, but we all thought he was pretty bright that day! Have a wonderful and safe Halloween!
I usually try not to shoot early in the morning the day after a wedding, but I just couldn’t resist these kids, so I woke up early Sunday morning and got to the house at 8:00 to start this adorable session. I’m so glad I didn’t miss this one. The de Guzmans are an amazing family, I could have spent the whole day there. Thank you so much for inviting me into your home and letting me goof around with the kids for a couple of hours - I had a blast!
This was an amazing day, the weather was perfect, the people were incredible, and I had a blast capturing Katys & Jeff’s big day! I have always thought the Los Angeles Arboretum would be a wonderful site for a wedding, and it turned out to be true. It was gorgeous, with so many places to photograph, it was tough to choose! Here are a few of my favorites! The baby is Katya & Jeff’s son Jeffrey, he was such a doll! Oh and don’t you just love this metal bouquet holder - cool detail!
It has been busy, busy, busy so I will be brief! I got to photograph the Icardos last Friady and see Hudson and Miss Channing in all her naked glory - I couldn’t resist putting this one up - she is sooooo cute!!! I won’t put anymore otherwise I might spoil their Christmas card! I’ll put it up when it’s done!
To be a teenager again! Wouldn’t you just love that? I would! Anyway, here’s a wonderful boy, Gio, who I had the pleasure of photographing today for some headshots. If you don’t see him on billboards soon for ads, you will hear his name in the soccer scene sooner or later, this boy is going to be a world-wide soccer star!
The wedding day!! This was such a gorgeous day, the setting was perfect, the details were incredible and the ceremony was wonderful. We couldn’t be happier for our parents who have been together for such a long time and finally made it official. Congratulations you two, we are all so proud of you, thank you for including us in your special celebration!
This was a wonderful evening of Hawaiian traditions and family fun! Thanks for the awesome memories guys! Sorry Kib and Liz, for some reason I didn’t get a shot of you guys this night!!
Sorry I have been slacking on the blog, but I have a good excuse, I was in Maui for my Dad’s wedding. I will blog our adventures in installments! Here’s the first one…the kids enjoying the trip. Here are some fun random moments!
That’s it, I am officially hi-jacking Mommie’s blog - I just don’t get on here enough these days! Here’s the scoop:
My Mommie keeps telling me that people want to see pictures of me, so I did a little mini shoot just for you guys! Here is my first coloring adventure. Coloring on the paper is great, but I think body art is pretty cool too, what do you think? And these marker things don’t taste too bad either!
I have really been working hard on my vocab lately, I am getting pretty good. I have a couple of good phrases under my belt and lots of single words. I am trying to do that ABC song but that’s a hard one, farm animals - I have down no prob, but colors are a little tricky! I love books, so I will get this all down sooner or later! Other than that I run, I squeal, I dance, pound things, play with water and bubbles, get dirty…you know the usual boy stuff!
Don’t worry, I will update you all again soon if my Mommie slacks off again! Love - Jace
Some background: Jensen and I went to photography school together almost 9 years ago and Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing his wedding at the Firestone Crossroads Estates in the Santa Ynez Valley. It was an amazing day with the most thoughtful and incredible details. From the camera cufflinks inscribed “I love you” to the bouquet ribbon saying “and they lived happily ever after” and a million little things in between, this day was amazing. The bride and groom were hand in hand with both parents walking down the aisle and stayed by their sides during the entire ceremony, each bridesmaid and groomsman had their own unique song and introduction coming down the aisle, there was a photo booth of course - so many great things to personalize such a special day. I put together a little slideshow of my favorite moments and details throughout the day or what I was able to capture between my own tears of joy!
I love you both very much and wish you all the best - if there were two people truly worthy of the best you are them my friends! Thank you for including me in your special day!
