Sorry I have been slacking on the blog, but I have a good excuse, I was in Maui for my Dad’s wedding. I will blog our adventures in installments! Here’s the first one…the kids enjoying the trip. Here are some fun random moments!

I wish I could say that I haven’t been a good blogger lately because I have been slacking. Slacking on a white sand beach somewhere drinking a Corona with lime and digging my feet into the sand! Not the case actually, things have been very very busy!! I have been in post-production craziness the past three weeks with some really big shoots. The Corona and the sand will have to wait till the following week when I get to go to Hawaii for my Dad’s wedding…wheeeeee!!!

This weekend should be nice and easy though…riiiiight…just two weddings!!!! These are two very special weddings and I couldn’t be more excited, my sister’s brother in law and my best friend! I get to visit two amazing locations, The Westlake Village Inn and The Firestone Crossroads Vineyard, spend my time with wonderful people, and photograph it all – a perfect weekend!! I will post this week I promise!!

Well Sunday was a busy, busy day. Before I met up with Erin and Larry for their Engagement Shoot I got to spend the day photographing the amazing kids of the Los Angeles Futball Club in their soccer gear. It feels a bit like a Halloween shoot with everyone in costume…which by the way is coming up so if anyone wants to host a Halloween Photo Party let me know! I will be putting up all the details soon!

Anyway, I just had to show this one image. This is such a touching story! The little girl in the front row in the middle with the ball has bone cancer and her teammates all wore beanies for their group photo to show their support. As I was doing their individual photos I almost started to cry when I noticed the patches they all wore on their sleeves – a purple star with her initials in it. Wow…really puts life in perspective doesn’t it – a 12 year old little girl fighting for her life and dealing with cancer!

So I am very excited to be heading out again, this time to Aspen. I am photographing a wedding there, which should be great! I will definitely put some images up! Anyone know the area, anything I HAVE to see while I am there, not that I will have that much time for sight seeing! See you all next week!

Yes, I admit…it doesn’t happen often, but every once in awhile I use our family point and shoot when we are out and about!!! Here are a couple of shots of my husband and I with our little guy! We decided to go to the Sierra Madre parade on the 4th and join in the festivities! If you haven’t been up there yet, you have to go – it is the sweetest little community! Go eat at “The Only Place In Town” they have great breakfast food and you’ll feel like you are a million miles from LA.

I am officially dedicating my first post on my new blog to my wonderful brother-in-law Ashton, who has so graciously introduced me to the wonderful world of wordpress, css, etc – geeky, geeky stuff!! I really don’t know anything about this stuff but it has managed to keep me up till past 1:00 in the morning the last two nights! It wouldn’t be so bad, but Jace has decided to wake up screaming about his teeth coming in…ouch…and then get up at 6:30 in the morning. Sorry if there are hideous typos in this post, I am really really tired but so pumped I can’t sleep. I love designing and coming up with new stuff for the business!

The new and improved site is up with fresh images, content etc! I finally went through almost 3 years worth of sessions and pulled lots of fun stuff for the site.
