After my fantastic morning session, Jace and I headed off to Payton’s 4th birthday today!! Yeah!! Happy birthday Payton! I can’t believe it has been 4 years, that went by so fast!
So is it me or have kids parties come a seriously long way since I was little? From decorations to activities to favors, these little parties are incredible and so much fun! This party was the best, there were so many things for the kids to play with, Alex you are amazing, P is so lucky! All the little rock star cowboys, pirates, and princesses had a blast and Jace and I thank you for a great afternoon! Here is a little collage of images from the party and part of my gift – a collage of images we took of Payton a few months ago! Love you guys!

Have I said lately how lucky I am and how much I love this job! I got to spend the morning with the Graham family today at one of my favorite places, Descanso Gardens in La Canada. The Graham family adopted a beautiful little girl from China this past November and I was lucky enough to photograph them all before Johanna has surgery for a cleft palate on Tuesday. I’m sure all will go well, she is in wonderful hands at Cedars Sinai, but all the same they will be in my thoughts!
I was blown away by the love in this family and the general attitude and demeanor of every member – they are precious and I am certain I will never forget them or this session. Johanna was abandoned and her prayers were answered by this loving and amazing family. It was one of those moments for me that really puts life in perspective! Congratulations on the newest member of the family guys, she is wonderful and you are giving her an amazing life! Here are some fun shots from today of the whole family including Mom & Dad, and big brother and sister Laurel & Jonah!

Just thought I would test out posting a photo in the new blog. WordPress is definitely a little more complicated than blogger; for me anyway. I guess the more options you have the more confusing it gets for html dummies like myself! Here is a shot of my little guy from a trip to the park last week. Oh and my fablous hubby Josh went to Duke, thus the Duke text splashed across his hiney! Go Blue Devils!

Nathan, his parents, and both sets of grandparents came to visit us today – so much fun! He was a little sleepy so we didn’t get a ton of smiles but we had a blast! He was so curious and made the cutest sounds, I can’t wait to see this handsome guy when he is older!

Here are some fun shots from our up and coming urban sessions for kids and families! These fun and fashionable sessions are a great way to break away from the studio or the more traditional location settings of the beach or park – which we of course still love as well. These were shot in Old Town Pasadena. Thanks for the great shots Payton and Liam!

I swear I haven’t forgotten about you Callum, I am just very behind. I was looking back and realized how many sessions I haven’t posted since the beginning of the year. I will work on it! This is Callum Ronald, Cat and Dan’s second. I was lucky enough to be able do a session in their home to welcome him, along with one set of grandparents from back east and one all the way from Australia! Check out the fun collage of Callum and big sister Lily! These little guys are so loved!
