Fall

September 10th, 2008 by Diana

Ok so I know I get way too excited about this but just in case you are unaware of it, FALL is coming!!! I was driving down the street today and saw the unmistakable red and white stripes of the holiday tent going up around the corner from my house. That wonderful lot will be filled with gorgeous orange pumpkins soon and then before we know it Christmas Trees! I am such a jeans and sweatshirt girl, I just can’t wait to whip them out…especially this year because last year I still had some unwanted baby weight on and couldn’t quite squeeze into my favorites! Heehee! Oh and in case you haven’t made it part of your fall ritual yet, you HAVE to go to Starbucks and get a Caramel Apple Cider - it is amazing - every fall memory you have ever had will come rushing back! Wow…here I go again! Anyway, bye bye summer - it’s been fun!

Los Angeles Futball Club

September 10th, 2008 by Diana

Well Sunday was a busy, busy day. Before I met up with Erin and Larry for their Engagement Shoot I got to spend the day photographing the amazing kids of the Los Angeles Futball Club in their soccer gear. It feels a bit like a Halloween shoot with everyone in costume…which by the way is coming up so if anyone wants to host a Halloween Photo Party let me know! I will be putting up all the details soon!

Anyway, I just had to show this one image. This is such a touching story! The little girl in the front row in the middle with the ball has bone cancer and her teammates all wore beanies for their group photo to show their support. As I was doing their individual photos I almost started to cry when I noticed the patches they all wore on their sleeves - a purple star with her initials in it. Wow…really puts life in perspective doesn’t it - a 12 year old little girl fighting for her life and dealing with cancer!

Justine + Scott = Hunter

September 8th, 2008 by Diana

A redhead, a redhead, yeah a redhead! This is so rare for me, a little newborn redhead. I was so excited to have Justine & Scott coming in with their newborn baby boy and got even more excited, if that’s possible, when they showed up with this little red haired cutie! He was soooo sweet and I obviously couldn’t get enough of the hair. Check out this adorable little man! I can’t wait to see what his hair does as he gets bigger!! Oh and sorry about the crying shot Hunter, you are just so cute and had so many little expressions, I just wanted to share as many as possible!

Erin & Larry’s E-session

September 8th, 2008 by Diana

I had a wonderful evening last night with Erin & Larry.  We did a really fun and cool urban engagement session in Downtown LA.  As you can see we visited the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which has this whole upper level I never knew about and is considered a state park so there are no issues photographing there, which was awesome.  I was asked not to stand up on a wall I scaled though, what can I say, we photographers do crazy things sometimes to get a great angle!  We also got kicked off the steps at Bunker Hill, apparently they not only own the building and stairs but also the sidewalk, which I thought was so crazy!!  Who ever heard of owning the sidewalk…isn’t that so weird!!!  Anyway, we found plenty of cool places to shoot and had a blast - thanks guys for staying out late on a Sunday night!  I can’t wait till the wedding in a couple of months!
