I have been crossing my fingers for a week hoping Gretchen wouldn’t make an early appearance because I have been dying to photograph Barbara and her beautiful family. Barbara is one of those incredible people (who make the rest of us jealous) who don’t gain an ounce anywhere on their bodies except in the belly when they are pregnant! She looked amazing and was so much fun to shoot! Thanks Barbara, Jay, Kayla & Gretchen for a great session today!
After my fantastic morning session, Jace and I headed off to Payton’s 4th birthday today!! Yeah!! Happy birthday Payton! I can’t believe it has been 4 years, that went by so fast!
So is it me or have kids parties come a seriously long way since I was little? From decorations to activities to favors, these little parties are incredible and so much fun! This party was the best, there were so many things for the kids to play with, Alex you are amazing, P is so lucky! All the little rock star cowboys, pirates, and princesses had a blast and Jace and I thank you for a great afternoon! Here is a little collage of images from the party and part of my gift - a collage of images we took of Payton a few months ago! Love you guys!
Have I said lately how lucky I am and how much I love this job! I got to spend the morning with the Graham family today at one of my favorite places, Descanso Gardens in La Canada. The Graham family adopted a beautiful little girl from China this past November and I was lucky enough to photograph them all before Johanna has surgery for a cleft palate on Tuesday. I’m sure all will go well, she is in wonderful hands at Cedars Sinai, but all the same they will be in my thoughts!
I was blown away by the love in this family and the general attitude and demeanor of every member - they are precious and I am certain I will never forget them or this session. Johanna was abandoned and her prayers were answered by this loving and amazing family. It was one of those moments for me that really puts life in perspective! Congratulations on the newest member of the family guys, she is wonderful and you are giving her an amazing life! Here are some fun shots from today of the whole family including Mom & Dad, and big brother and sister Laurel & Jonah!
Don’t you just love that name? Great pick guys, Hunter is going to love having that name…I predict! And he is going to have the most amazing eyes ever as well, compliments of Mommy & Daddy! Today was wonderful, I got to spend the afternoon with Justine & Scott at the studio. We had a blast talking about childbirth and all the wonderful things they have in store for them in the coming months. If they look familiar, it’s because they made their debut on the blog back in February when I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding - it was also an amazing day! Here are a few of my favs from today!
The Simpson’s are one are my favorite clients, I have loved watching them grow over the years. They are such easy going and sweet people, you feel like you have known them for years the minute you meet them! This was such a great shoot, the kids were in the best moods and it was one of those times when everything worked! Can you believe the eyes on these little guys? Here are some of my favorites!
Hi all! Yesterday was a gorgeous day in Marina del Rey with Amanda & David! They got married at Burton Chase Park which was fantastic and had a very “west side” reception at the super cool Billy Shire Art Gallery. Thank you Amanda & David for being so sweet, they really took care of us! Thank you so much Natalie - you did an amazing job! Here are some of my favorites as well as the slideshow!!
Yes, I admit…it doesn’t happen often, but every once in awhile I use our family point and shoot when we are out and about!!! Here are a couple of shots of my husband and I with our little guy! We decided to go to the Sierra Madre parade on the 4th and join in the festivities! If you haven’t been up there yet, you have to go - it is the sweetest little community! Go eat at “The Only Place In Town” they have great breakfast food and you’ll feel like you are a million miles from LA.
Hope you all had a happy and fantastic 4th of July!!
